In 2016, we had screenings of all-ages independent films centered around the Minerva Monster, the Beast of Whitehall, Bigfoot sightings, and the Loch Ness Monster. Our guest of honor was none other than Loren Coleman, author (Bigfoot: the True Story of Apes in America, Mysterious America, The Bigfoot Casebook) and curator of the International Cryptozoology Museum in Portland, ME.
In addition to the screenings and speaking presentation we’re also welcomed Dave Knop (YouTube sensation behind KnopTop) who will be sharing his insights into filmmaking on a budget. Attendees also got to hear presentations from the guys behind Small Town Monsters, and ask them your questions about the cases they’ve investigated.
In 2015, we created Minerva Monster Day to celebrate the opening of Small Town Monsters' first documentary, Minerva Monster!
The documentary was shown in the heart of Minerva in The Roxy, an historical Theater and landmark.
There were retail vendors (Bigfoot related and other), food vendors, local merchants, speakers, and was great opportunity to see small town America at its best.
